First National Medicines Management Forum

On 11th October 2011, the PSI, with the HSE's Office of Nursing and Midwifery Services Director and Medicines Management Programme, supported by the Department of Health, hosted Ireland’s first National Medicines Management Forum: Sharing Best Practice at the Royal College of Physicians Ireland. The Forum, with a multi-disciplinary audience and speakers, facilitated discussion on how effective treatments can be made available to patients, whilst ensuring that medicines are managed safely and effectively, achieving the best possible health outcomes as well as the rational and cost-effective use of medicines.
